I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
