Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the maiden major achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
